SoundStar ("the App") is developed by Christopher Julian Lowery and The English Life Academy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App collects, uses, stores, and protects data.
SoundStar is a lightweight, offline audio editing application. The App allows users to: • Import MP3 and WAV audio files • View audio as a waveform • Trim, cut, split, and merge audio segments • Adjust volume and playback speed • Apply fade in and fade out effects • Convert between MP3 and WAV formats • Export edited audio files All audio processing occurs locally on the user's device.
SoundStar requests access to your device's file system to: • Allow you to select and import MP3 and WAV files for editing • Allow you to export edited audio to your device storage • No other file access is requested or used • You choose which files to open and where to save your work • You can revoke file access at any time in device settings
SoundStar collects absolutely no personal data: • No names, emails, phone numbers, or contact information • No device identifiers (IMEI, serial number, Android ID, IDFA, etc.) • No location data (GPS, wifi triangulation, or IP geolocation) • No usage analytics, event tracking, or user behavior data • No crash reports or diagnostic logs sent externally • No microphone recordings (file access only) • No metadata about edited audio files • No advertising or marketing data Every file you edit, every change you make, stays entirely on your device.
SoundStar does not require account creation: • No login page • No email requirement • No password setup • No user profiles • No account synchronization • Open the app and start editing immediately
SoundStar contains no analytics SDKs or tracking technologies: • No Google Analytics • No Firebase Analytics • No AppsFlyer or mobile attribution networks • No Crashlytics or crash reporting • No user behavior tracking • No A/B testing • No personalization or profiling
SoundStar does not share any data with third parties because no data is collected: • No data shared with analytics services • No data shared with advertising networks • No data shared with marketing partners • No data shared with cloud storage providers • No data shared with researchers or analytics firms • Audio files never leave your device
SoundStar operates entirely offline and local: • Audio files are never uploaded to any server • No cloud backup of edited files • No synchronization across devices • No automatic backup services • You retain full control of all edited audio files • All data remains on the device where you save it
SoundStar is appropriate for all ages: • The App does not target children specifically • No personal data is collected from users of any age • No behavioral profiling of any age group • No collection of information from anyone under 13 • No special treatment or restrictions based on age (because no data is collected from anyone) • Parents and guardians: Echo Edit collects zero data from your children
