Legal Terms Governing SoundStar

By downloading, installing, and using SoundStar ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
SoundStar is an offline audio editing application for personal and professional use. The App allows you to: • Import MP3 and WAV audio files • Edit audio (trim, cut, split, merge, adjust volume and speed, apply fades) • Convert between MP3 and WAV formats • Export edited audio files The App is designed for lawful, personal, and professional audio editing only. You acknowledge that: • SoundStar is provided "as is" for audio editing purposes • The App is not a professional mixing, mastering, or production tool • SoundStar does not provide real-time playback effects or advanced DSP features • The App is suitable for basic and intermediate audio editing tasks
You agree to: • Use SoundStar only for lawful purposes • Not use SoundStar to process copyrighted audio or music without proper authorization • Not use SoundStar to create, distribute, or support infringing content • Not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the App • Not redistribute, copy, or modify SoundStar without permission • Not use SoundStar to create derivative products or services • Own all rights to audio files you import and process • Take responsibility for the audio content you process in the App
You agree not to use SoundStar for: • Processing copyrighted content without permission • Circumventing copyright protections or DRM technologies • Creating deepfakes or deceptive audio content • Processing non-consensual audio content • Illegal audio manipulation or fraud • Any use that violates applicable laws in your jurisdiction
• SoundStar and all source code, design, and features are owned by Christopher Julian Lowery and The English Life Academy • You are granted a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Echo Edit • You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from SoundStar • Audio files you create, process, or edit with Echo Edit are owned by you • Christopher Julian Lowery and The English Life Academy retain no ownership of your audio content
SoundStar is provided "as is" without warranties: • The App is provided without warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement • Christopher Julian Lowery and The English Life Academy do not warrant that SoundStar will function without errors or interruption • No warranty that audio editing will produce desired results • No warranty that exported audio will maintain original fidelity • No warranty against data loss due to device failure, app crash, or user error
To the fullest extent permitted by law: • Christopher Julian Lowery and The English Life Academy are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages • Not liable for audio quality loss, editing results, or export failures • Not liable for device damage or storage loss • Not liable for the legality of audio content you process • Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is discontinuation of use
Christopher Julian Lowery and The English Life Academy reserve the right to discontinue SoundStar or revoke your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App ceases. All audio files edited and saved on your device remain your property; uninstalling the App does not delete your files unless you manually delete them.
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any legal action or proceeding shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
Christopher Julian Lowery and The English Life Academy reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be indicated in the App or communicated to users. Continued use of SoundStar constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
